Multi-currency support
For example, if a customer creates a contract in USD, any changes or additions to the contract's products, as well as plan changes, will be displayed and calculated in USD.
Alternatively, if another customer creates a contract in JPY within the same store, changes will be displayed and calculated in JPY.
The currency of the contract is determined by the customer's country in the Shopify market settings. After the contract is created, when customers make changes, additions, or plan changes from their account page, the new prices for the products will be calculated based on the customer's country of residence.
GO SUB uses the contract address, billing address of the contract, or the customer's default address. Just like the store's currency, the currency of the contract will also follow the Shopify market settings based on the customer's country of residence. All new prices are calculated using Shopify's Contextual Pricing feature.
- If the currency of the contract differs from the currency set in your country's market, you will not be able to make changes to plans or products from your customer account page. We do not recommend implementing features that allow customers to freely choose their desired currency, such as add-ons for currency selection in the store.
- In a multi-currency store, discounts on subscription plan prices may not function correctly for currencies other than the store's main currency, so please use percentage discounts.
- The dashboard will only display contracts in the same currency as the store's main currency. We plan to add features to further support multi-currency stores in the future.
