Order creation based on delivery date

Typically, subscriptions create regular orders based on the order date and the cycle set in the plan, and a delivery date is set for those orders, taking into account lead time and other factors.

When this feature is enabled, the order date will be recalculated and set based on the delivery date, rather than the order date. Even when changing it from the customer's account, the date the order is created on the store will be automatically calculated and set based on the customer's desired delivery date.

example:

Order cycle: Once a month
Lead time for store business days: 2 days
Closed on: Monday and Tuesday
Order creation date: March 14th (Saturday)
Delivery date for this order: Wednesday, March 18th
Next order creation date: April 16th (Thursday)
Next delivery date: April 18th (Saturday)

=If you change your next delivery date to April 15th (Wednesday)=
Your next order will be recalculated and set for Monday, April 13th.

=If you skip your next delivery date, which is April 15th=
Your next delivery date will be May 15th (Friday), and the next order creation date will be recalculated to May 13th (Wednesday).

Changes made from your customer account page

If order creation based on delivery date is enabled, from your customer accountThe order date cannot be changed.(It is possible to enable "Buy Now" in the settings.)

From your customer account page, you can only change the delivery date. The range within which you can change the delivery date is limited by the lead time set in your delivery date and time settings.

If you change the delivery date to the earliest available date, the order will be processed within one hour of that change.

If the order time for the second and subsequent orders is fixed in your plan

If your subscription plan has a fixed order creation time, the earliest date you can change your delivery date may differ from the usual date. The longest date you can change your delivery date will remain the same.

The available delivery dates will vary depending on whether the change is made before or after the fixed order time. After the change, the order will be created at the fixed order time the following day.

Impact on existing contracts due to configuration changes

Changing the status of order creation based on delivery date will not affect the order date or delivery date of existing contracts.

however,When order creation based on delivery date is enabled, changing the following settings may result in a change to the delivery date. Please be aware of this.

  • Business day lead time
  • Warehouse holidays

example:

Order creation based on delivery date is effective.
Order date for Contract ①: April 1st
Delivery date for Contract ①: April 5th

=Here, we changed the minimum lead time from 4 to 5 business days=

Order date for Contract ①: April 1st
Delivery date for contract ①:It will be changed to April 6th.

Warehouse holidays

Set the holidays for the location where shipping instructions and shipping work are carried out (here referred to as the warehouse).
Warehouse and regular holidays do not count as store business days when calculating delivery dates.

By registering your store's closing days, business days will be counted when calculating delivery dates.

In addition to being able to specify regular holidays by day of the week, you can also set custom holidays by selecting dates on a calendar.

Delivery company holidays

If the delivery company that will actually deliver your order has any holidays, you can set them here. When calculating the delivery date, delivery company holidays differ from warehouse holidays.Counted as a store business dayIt will be done.
If your next delivery date falls on a day when the delivery company is closed, your next delivery will be scheduled for the day after the delivery company's holiday (a day that is not a delivery company holiday).
