Let your customers customize their purchases! An overview of Go Sub’s subscription box feature.
Note: If you are currently using another app for your subscription box and wish to migrate to Go Sub,
please contact us in advance. Depending on the setup, it may not be possible to migrate all subscription contract data.
Box Page Example
When you configure a box in the app management screen, a dedicated box page is automatically created in your store. Customers can select their box contents and subscription plan on this page. Once they click the purchase button, they are automatically directed to the checkout.

1. Parent-product box
A parent product acts as the main representative item for the subscription box. Each box can be assigned a parent product, which customers click to access the box selection page directly. You can configure how the box price is calculated: Total price of selected box items Price of the parent product If you choose to calculate the price based on the total of the box items, please set the parent product’s price to 0. 2. Box-items-only box
This type of box doesn’t include a parent product. Instead, the total price is calculated solely from the selected box items.
Customers can access the box page only via a direct link.
To guide them to the page, you can either:
Embed a link or button into your store’s theme
Share the link with customers directly.

Subscription group for boxes
Each subscription group can be linked to only one box. It is not possible to assign multiple boxes to the same subscription group. Additionally, subscription groups linked to a box will not be displayed on regular product pages. They will appear only on the box page. Before setting up a box, you must first create a the dedicated subscription group for that box.
Important: When creating the subscription group, be sure to select all box-related products (including both the parent product and all box items).

Customer account page for boxes
If you enable product changes on the customer account page settings from the app admin settings, customers will be able to edit their subscription box items directly from their account page. This includes the ability to change, add, or remove products from their subscription box.

You can also easily manage subscription boxes from the app admin contract details page, including adding, changing, or deleting products from the contract's box.
Subscription box settings
You can set up a subscription box from the Subscription Box page in the app admin. Before setting up a box, be sure to create a dedicated subscription group specifically for the box.

Additionally, some theme adjustments may be required, such as adding a Go Sub app block to the cart if desired.
To ensure a smooth setup process, please read the instructions provided on the box creation page before beginning your setup.
If your theme already has the product page and customer account page app blocks installed, no additional action is required to use the box feature.
- Click "Install theme" from the menu of the app management screen.
- Please select the theme you want to introduce.
- At the bottom of the page, click the "Show Code Installing Method" button and click the "Install Asset to the theme" button to complete.
