[GO SUB TIPS] Introducing how to migrate from other shopify subscription apps!

SHOPIFY Subscription App GO SUB GO RIDE that offers!

This time, I will introduce the flow of moving from other sub -skop apps to GO SUB! I use other subscription apps, but GO SUB is good for both prices and contents! Please check the contents and contact Go Ride.

[Preparation in advance]

Step0. What you need to use Go Sub

GOSUB can be used in the following environments. Please check in advance whether the store to be used is applicable.


  • Using SHOPIFY PAYMENT (GOSUB is not available except for SHOPIFY PAYMENT)

  • Customer accounts are set to "conventional"

  • The theme is online 2.0 compatible


* If you do not know whether the theme is online store 2.0, it is not supported but want to check whether GOSUB can be used, please check the following article.

STEP1. To go ride, please contact us if you want to migrate

Please apply by dedicated form. At this stage, it is okay if the transition is 100%determined!

We will confirm the details in the form, and after inputting, we will contact you to the e -mail address registered by the next business day.


Step2. Adjustment of the migration schedule

We will confirm the contents entered in the form and determine the data migration schedule based on the information entered.


On the day of the migration, there is no need to respond to the merchant side until we will contact you to complete!

You can also operate the normal store without any problems.

STEP3. Go Sub application settings

Once the migration date is decided, let's set the app!


  • App installation

  • Plan group settings

  • Customer account page function setting

  • Notification settings

[About notification email]

The basic contents are set in the initial setting, so you can use it as it is.

Depending on the merchant, you may need to customize the notification e -mail or change the source of the email.

STEP4. Theme settings

Add a gosub section to the theme you are using.


  • Application / display confirmation for application blocks to the product page

  • Adding application blocks to your page addition / display confirmation


We recommend that you duplicate the latest theme and work!

Please add a gosub section with a duplicated theme and hide the current subscription app.


After the data migration is completed, set the duplicated theme as a live theme. (Details described later)

Step5.

If you move from another sub -skop app to GOSUB, your account screen and notification email will be changed.

Please tell us that the system will be changed to customers who are currently using sub -skop if necessary.


I would like to request the customer's email to the customer all together! In that case, you can respond with a separate quote, so please call us!



STEP6. Data entry into the data migration format

We will send a format from us. Please enter the data to migrate from the subscription app currently in use to GOSUB and return it to us.


The necessary information is mainly as follows.


  • Customer information (ID, name, etc.)

  • Delivery address

  • Payment information (the lower 4 digits of credit card or PayPal email address)

  • Product information (Variant ID or product name)

  • Price / quantity

  • Next order date and time

  • GOSUB subscription plan (plan ID or plan name)

  • Other subscription information (the number of past purchases, etc.)


Most subscription apps can download the contract list, so you can check almost all of the download information.


If you cannot download it or if the number of contracts is large, it may take time to create data, so please prepare with enough time.


We request data return 2 business days before the transfer.


STEP7. Application / approval for collaborator access

Please let us know the store management screen URL and collaborator access code. We will apply for access, so please approve it.


* If you do not approve, you will not be able to use the migration support.

STEP8. (Our) Migration work

From the time determined when adjusting the schedule, we will start working on data migration.

During the transfer work, there is no effect on normal store management.


It depends on the number of data migration, but it will be completed in about 30 minutes to 2 hours.

* It is not limited to the above, such as when you have to check with the merchant at the time of work or the number of cases.


Once our transition work is completed, we will report on the completion by email.


STEP9. Switching and displaying the theme

Switch the theme duplicated by STEP4 to the live theme.

Click "Set as the main theme" with the GOSUB added theme stored in the theme library.

When the change is completed, check the store from the customer screen.

STEP10. Response to the transfer source subscription app

Up to this point, switching to GOSUB has been completed!

Finally, remove the target product from the subscription plan of the transition source subscription app. It is not required, but if the migration source application is displayed on the customer screen, please respond as much as possible because the customer may be confused.


Also, if necessary, download and store past data from the transitional subscription app, and uninstall the app.

[Free migration support]

A series of transitions can be used for free!

The use of free migration support can be used only when applicable to both below.


  • When the number of subscription contract migration is 100 or less

  • Review to SHOPIFY App Store within one month after the transition to GOSUB


If the number of contracts exceeds 100, we will estimate the detailed support other than the STEP described above (I would like to request from data format creation, I would like to customize themes other than the GOSUB part). So please feel free to contact us.
