Box settings and price application chart

1. BOX containing the parent product

The parent product is the flagship product of the box.
Each box can have a parent product that represents the box.In the store, when a customer clicks on a selected product, they are automatically redirected to the BOX page.

When selecting a box containing a parent product, you can also specify the price structure of the box.
The price of a box is the sum of the contents of the box or the price of the parent product. You can set it to that.If you want to set the price based on the total price of the boxed items, please set the price of the parent item to 0.

2. BOX for BOX products only

For boxes containing only boxed products, there is no representative parent product; the price is calculated solely based on the sum of the prices of the boxed products.
Customers can access it via the link on the BOX page. You will need to either directly embed links and buttons into your theme, or directly share links with your customers.

About BOX Subscription Groups

Only one BOX can be assigned to each subscription group. Multiple BOXes cannot be used in the same group.
Subscription groups linked to a BOX will not be displayed on the product page, but only on the BOX page. Before setting up BOX, you need to create a subscription group specifically for BOX.

*When creating a subscription group, please select all box products (both parent products and box products) as target products.

Once you create a subscription box and link it to a plan group, a section called "Group's Subscription Box" will appear on the plan group settings page.

About Subscription Box Settings

Subscription BOX can be configured from the BOX page in the app management screen. Before configuring BOX, be sure to create a dedicated subscription group for BOX as described in the previous section.

About the app block added to the cart screen

When a subscription box product is in the cart, to prevent unintended changes (such as specifying a quantity other than the minimum or maximum or deleting the parent product), you can add an app block to the cart and the app will delete the box product from the cart.

Adding an app block is optional, but if you do not add an app block to your cart, you will be able to delete boxed items and change the quantity on the cart screen.

How to add an app block

Edit the text to display as needed.
You can change this from Settings > Translation, Text Editing.

About your account page

If you have enabled product changes, additions, and deletions on the settings page of the customer account page in the app administration screen, customers can change, add, or delete boxed products themselves from their customer account page.

Important points to note when using the GO SUB BOX function

Points to note ①
Themes that have already implemented app blocking on product pages and customer account pages can use the BOX function without any special action required.
If you haven't added the app to your theme using the app blocker, the BOX feature may not be displayed. In that case, you will need to reinstall the asset to your theme. The method for reinstalling the asset is as follows.
  1. Click "Install Theme" from the menu on the app's admin page.
  2. Select the theme you want to install.
  3. Click the "Show instructions for installing code into your theme" button at the bottom of the page, then click the "Install assets into your theme" button to complete the process.
*Merchants who have a specially customized GO SUB theme may require special handling.
Points to note ②
The BOX function cannot be used for anything other than a subscription.
For example, it's not possible to implement a system where customers create and purchase their preferred product sets using only the box feature, without utilizing the subscription feature.
