【PageFly x GO SUB】How to Create a High-Design Subscription Sales Page on Shopify with
A method that is gaining attention for stabilizing sales on e-commerce sites is the subscription (recurring purchase) system.
If you're starting subscription sales on Shopify, 'GO SUB' is convenient, but at the same time, having an 'attractive page that draws in customers' is also important.
This is where 'PageFly', a page builder app that allows you to design pages freely without coding, comes into play. Many people are curious about the question, 'Can the subscription function of GO SUB be used on pages created with PageFly?'.
In this article, I will explain step-by-step how to incorporate the GO SUB subscription function into pages created with PageFly, in a way that beginners can understand. I will also share important points to keep in mind during actual operation, so please read through to the end.
Overview of the tasks

This article is a specialized explanation of how to use GO SUB on the PageFly page. Please refer to the following for setup instructions.
STEP 1. Create a Custom Template in PageFly
First, we will create the template.
PageFly offers a variety of templates. This time, we will choose one of them and customize it. When you create your own, you can also start from scratch and create the page as you like, so feel free to try different things.
Create a product template
Select Product from Create from templates, choose your favorite from the displayed templates, and press 'Select'.

The GO SUB block can only be inserted in product templates. You cannot add blocks to homepage, page templates, or collection templates.
If you want to encourage subscriptions outside of product pages like LPs, please use the purchase link feature of GO SUB.
For more details, click here.
Link products to the template.
Select the products you want to link from the Page assignment. Additionally, to check the display within the template, set Auto in the Content section of Product details.
By doing this, you can display the target products within the PageFly builder and check the content.

STEP 2. Add the app block to the product template.
Open 'Third-party elements' from the menu on the left side of the screen and drag & drop the App blocks to your desired location.
It's recommended to place it below the variation selection and above the purchase button!

Additionally, it is recommended to set the block width in the app block's Styling tab to Fill. By default, it is set to Hug, which will cause the width of the GO SUB block added later to be displayed too narrow.

Feel free to set other designs as you like!
Since it is possible to add changes later, once you have completed to a certain extent, give it a name, save it as a template, and publish.
STEP 3. Hide the default product information in the theme customizer.
Next, we will make some edits in the Shopify theme customizer. Before that, let's check the template name on the PageFly app.

Display the template confirmed above in the Shopify theme customizer.

The product information created with the Shopify theme is unnecessary, so click the eye icon to hide it.

Important: Make sure that the default product information section does not include a GO SUB block.
If there is a GO SUB block among the hidden Shopify product information, be sure to delete it. If a GO SUB block remains in this section, the subscription purchase will not function correctly.

STEP 4. Place the GO SUB block in the PageFly template.
From the blocks added in the section created with PageFly within the template, add the GO SUB block.

Then, the GO SUB block will be inserted in the position of the app block set in STEP 2.

STEP 5. Additional style customization.
Use the color change feature of GO SUB to change it to a color that matches the theme.
Select a color from the GO SUB settings screen.

Change to your preferred color and save.

Please make further adjustments using PageFly, theme customizer, etc.
STEP 6. Display and Functionality Check
Once you have completed STEP 5, you will proceed to check the display and functionality.
Check if the GO SUB block is displayed on the actual page, and if selecting the subscription option and adding it to the cart results in a subscription purchase.
If there are duplicate GO SUB blocks in other sections as mentioned in the important points of STEP 3, the subscription option may not function correctly.
Check the cart and perform an actual test purchase; if a subscription contract has not been created, please check the blocks within the section.

Bonus: Let's make Shopify's AI 'Sidekick' your ally.
This time, we created a facial cream as a test product on Shopify.
At that time, we had Shopify's AI 'Sidekick' generate photos and write product information. Of course, it is necessary to adjust the photos and details to match the actual product information, but I think it will be quite helpful, so please give it a try!
