[GO SUB Adds Automatic Shipping Fee Recalculation] GO SUB | Subscription | Subscription Update

Thank you for always using GO SUB.
In the June 2025 update, we have finally added the automatic shipping recalculation feature.

This article will provide details about the added feature, so please check it out.

The newly added feature automatically recalculates shipping costs when there are changes to subscription contract products or the number of products.

For example, if you have set two types of shipping as follows:

・Free shipping for purchases over 5,000 yen

・Shipping fee of 500 yen for purchases under 5,000 yen

First purchase (at the time of subscription contract)Purchasing 1 item priced at 4,500 yen = shipping fee 500 yenwill be saved in the contract information.
Before the second purchase, the number of items can be changed by the customerChanging to purchase 2 items priced at 4,500 yen each=Total amount 9,000 yen = normally would be free shipping

In the initial settings of GO SUB, even when the product is changed, the shipping fee is not automatically recalculated, and the contract information retains "shipping fee 500 yen".
Therefore, in the above example, the second order will be the order amount of 9,000 yen + shipping fee 500 yen.

Here, ifthe automatic recalculation of shipping fees is turned onin the above example, when the product information is changed, recalculation will be performed again, and the contract information will be updated tofree shipping, resulting in an order amount of only 9,000 yen.

The setting for automatic shipping fee recalculation can be done within the GO SUB app.

From the app management screen, open "Settings" > "Subscription Behavior"

. Next, change the check for automatic shipping fee recalculation to on, and select the method for automatic shipping fee recalculation.
This allows you to choose which shipping fee to automatically apply when multiple shipping rates are set in Shopify under "Settings" > "Shipping and Delivery."

The automatic shipping fee recalculation feature is easily completed with the above settings!

If you have enabled the recalculation of shipping fees in the settings of GO SUB, but for some reason you want to disable automatic calculation for specific contracts only, you can exclude them from recalculation from the relevant contract screen.

Transition to the 'Subscription Contracts' in the GO SUB app management screen.

> Select the relevant contract from the contract list and open it.

> In the subscription details section, press 'Change' next to 'Exclude from automatic calculation of shipping fees' to open the modal.

If you want to disable automatic recalculation, please select 'Exclude' in the opened modal and save.

• If the relevant product has been removed from the store, the shipping fee will not be recalculated.
• If the corresponding shipping profile cannot be found, the shipping fee will not be recalculated.
• Shipping fees will only be recalculated correctly if the shipping condition is set to 'based on order amount'. Do not use it in conjunction with 'based on product weight' shipping profiles.
• Processing may take a few minutes. Making changes in quick succession may result in unexpected behavior.
• If you want to disable automatic recalculation of shipping fees for a specific contract, please set it as excluded from automatic recalculation on the subscription contract details page.
• Automatic recalculation of shipping fees will only occur for contracts with active and failed statuses. Canceled, paused, or terminated contracts are excluded.
• New shipping fees will be calculated based on the shipping settings of the Shopify store. GO SUB does not calculate shipping fees.
