Nestlé Japan Ltd.'s Nestlé Health Science Company launched VITAL PROTEINS in 2013 in the United States with the goal of helping people easily incorporate collagen into their daily lives, supporting their positive and fulfilling lifestyles. VITAL PROTEINS is now the #1 collagen brand in the U.S. by sales*.

Project Overview

<p>Based on the global website, I localized and enhanced it for the Japanese market. I was responsible for building the e-commerce site on Shopify Plus, including the landing page, marketing automation (MA), OMS integration, and other implementations, with a streamlined user flow design.</p>

<p>To encourage customers to incorporate "Vital Proteins" into their daily routines, I also implemented a subscription app. On Shopify, I handled the initial site setup, design, coding, theme customization, checkout customization, and the research and implementation of various apps.</p>

<p>For the core subscription feature of the site, I ensured that the three different product sizes were displayed prominently at the top, making it easy for customers to compare and choose. Discounts were applied based on the subscription cycle. In the cart, customers could select their preferred delivery date, and within their account page, they could pause their subscription, update credit card information, or cancel their orders.</p>

<p>By integrating with the OMS, we centralized the management of orders, inventory, and customer data across multiple marketplaces, reducing operational burdens.</p>

<p>Looking ahead to future content expansion, I implemented a blog feature that allows merchants to intuitively update content, create landing pages, and manage them with ease. For the landing pages, I based the design on the files provided, ensuring that future edits could be done with no-code tools for greater flexibility.</p>
