MATCHA STAND MARUNI
MATCHA STAND MARUNI is a brand based in Tsukiji, Japan, that delivers high-quality Japanese matcha to global markets. With the increase in inbound tourism consumption, the brand sought to efficiently guide foreign tourists to its online store and further accelerate its growth. To achieve this, a redesign of the Shopify store was carried out. The goal was to enhance the online shopping experience and introduce effective marketing through the use of Klaviyo.
PROJECT OVERVIEW
The Shopify store renewal project for MATCHA STAND MARUNI by Kambutsu Seikatsu LLC focused on creating a minimalist and modern design, organizing product categories, and strengthening content to make it easier for users to intuitively connect with the brand. We assisted in selecting a theme, proposing fonts, and creating a color palette to align with the brand's identity. Additionally, we implemented key features for future scalability, such as wholesale functionality, review apps, and shipping label generation tools, while also enhancing operational efficiency.

The overall design of the site reflects a serene, Japanese-inspired aesthetic while maintaining a minimalist and modern impression. For the product pages, we created templates for each category—matcha powder, tea leaves, and tea utensils—ensuring an effective product presentation tailored to each type. Additionally, we introduced recipe articles to showcase various ways to enjoy matcha, effectively conveying the product’s appeal. We also implemented Klaviyo's automation flows to strengthen customer engagement through email marketing, helping increase repeat purchases. To further support the brand’s growth, we offered an ongoing operational support plan, providing seamless assistance from site construction to day-to-day management.
