①Create a notebook: 

Click "Create a new notebook" in NotebookLM to create one

② Upload materials: 

Upload PDFs, Google Docs, slides, URLs of reference sites, YouTube links of lecture videos, and audio files by clicking "Add Source"

③ Assign roles: 

Once you have finished adding the source, go to "Chat Settings" and register instructions such as "Please respond as if you were a teacher who will give easy-to-understand explanations to help you pass the exam."

After these three steps, your Search Assistant is complete!

You can start studying for the exam in a conversational format via chat.

NotebookLM can be used in a variety of ways, beyond just learning through chat.

① Creating a learning roadmap
After loading the materials, ask them to create a schedule for mastering them in the month leading up to the exam.

NotebookLM is a very useful tool, but there are a few things to keep in mind in order to use it effectively.

The quality of the source determines the quality of the answer:
The information you upload will be used as is, so you must upload the most recent information to avoid mixing in outdated materials or inaccurate notes.

No automatic updates: 
Even if you modify the original file, the NotebookLM version will not be updated.
If you update your materials, you will need to re-upload them.
