We’ll show you our recommended flow by linking the Shopify subscription app "Go Sub | 定期購入 | Subscription" with the email marketing tool "Klaviyo"!
We’ll thoroughly explain the "subscription × email marketing" method that directly increases LTV and helps prevent subscription cancellations.


What is Klaviyo?

"Klaviyo" is a marketing automation platform designed to help you build relationships with your customers. It is mainly used as a tool to support email marketing and customer engagement.

With Klaviyo, you can do the following!


  1. Setting up list segmentation:

    • You can create customer lists and run campaigns targeting those lists.
    • Segment customers based on specific attributes or behaviors. This allows you to send targeted messages to each segment.
  2. Setting up tracking and tags:

  3. Setting up custom events:

  5. Set Up Workflow:

    • Configure trigger-based workflows to automatically send emails or perform actions in response to specific customer behaviors.

    • Test the effectiveness of your emails and workflows, and optimize them based on data. Use A/B testing and reports to evaluate your results.

Recommended Klaviyo setup flow for subscriptions (サブスク).

Example 1
 

Customers who purchased a specific subscription product

Three days after purchase

Send an email with a 10% OFF coupon

 


 

Set up tags in Go Sub.

 

Settings → Tags → Customer Management Tags → Create custom tag

Set the product name tag.

When the product "Shatsu" is purchased, the following tag will be assigned.


Custom Tag
goSub-Shatsu

Klaviyo-side settings

Proceed with the Klaviyo-side settings.

Create a new flow and apply the following settings.

  1. When someone Placed Order

  2. Apply Flow Filters.

  3. Shopify Tags contains goSub-Shatsu

  4. Wait 3 days

  5. Send coupon email



Next, let's set up the following flow.


Example 2

For customers who have purchased a subscription product three times

Send a "Would you like to try this product too?" email

Wait 3 days

If no purchase is made, distribute a 10% OFF coupon.

If a purchase is made, send a thank you email.

 


 

Set up tags in Go Sub.

 

As before, set up from the following steps.

Settings → Tag → Order Management Tag → Create Custom Tag

Check the "Subscription Count" box.

When a subscription has been made three times, the following tag will be assigned.


Custom Tag
goSub-subscriptionCount:3


Klaviyo-side settings

Proceed with the Klaviyo-side settings.

Create a new flow and apply the following settings.

  1. When someone Placed Order

  2. Apply Flow Filters.

  3. Shopify Tags contains goSub-subscriptionCount:3

  4. Send "Would you like to try this product too?" email

  5. Wait 3 days

  6. Has Placed Order zero times since starting this flow.

  7. YES > Distribute 10% OFF coupon

  8. NO > Send thank you email
