[GO RIDE] Shooting Direction

Jan 14, 2025

At GO RIDE, we don’t just create e-commerce sites—we also provide all the essential content creation services needed to help your e-commerce site grow.

We will provide an overview of the entire process from preparation to completion for a filming direction.

If you are struggling with resource issues related to content production, such as photography for e-commerce sites or social media shoots as part of your growth strategy, please feel free to contact us.

Preparation

First, during a meeting with the client,

we will clarify what kind of website or social media post you want to create and what message you want to convey to your audience.

Based on the content discussed, the director will gather reference materials and other resources to create a proposal document.

In the proposal document, we will decide in advance on aspects such as scene breakdowns and the direction of the captions, and create materials to eliminate discrepancies between the delivered product and the proposal.

Filming Location

Once the concept is finalized, we will select the filming location.

The photo below was taken in a kitchen studio.

When filming cooking videos, we borrowed a kitchen studio near Minatomirai, close to the GO RIDE office at WeWork.

As selection points...

- Spacious and easy to work in

- Natural light comes in

- Fully equipped with tableware and cooking utensils

We did a pre-visit to check the layout and confirm the equipment and supplies!

Preparing props for filming

We create a shopping list according to the budget.

Purchase in advance...

Tableware, interior items, etc.

Order online or buy at specialty stores

Day-of purchases...

Food ingredients, flowers, etc.

Research where to buy in advance

If you forget even one item, filming could be interrupted, so preparing everything beforehand is crucial to smoothly complete the shoot within the limited time!

Final filming meeting

- Filming

・Cooking

・Model

・Director

By holding a final meeting and clarifying each person's roles in detail, we were able to use our filming time efficiently! When everyone is on the same page, exchanging ideas during filming also goes much more smoothly.

* Depending on the request, we also handle tasks such as camera work, modeling, and hair and makeup.

Sample Filming Day Schedule

9:00 Rehearsal at wework kitchen space

While keeping track of the time and following the cut image, we confirmed the workflow.

We did a rehearsal to ensure the filming would proceed smoothly.

11:00 Final grocery shopping while moving to the studio

11:30 Arrive at the studio

Prepare props for filming, set up the camera, and start filming.

At each stage, we checked the images and footage, and adjusted the lighting and position of props as needed.

We filmed from various angles.

12:30 Filming ends Clean up

13:00 Lunch

14:00 At WeWork: Image re-check & selection

Confirming the photo cut

After shooting, we will adjust and check the size of the image and video data.

We will ask the designer to handle the editing.

To make it look beautiful, we will adjust the colors, add text and music, and edit it so viewers can enjoy it.

After editing, we will send it to the client for review, and after adjustments, we will post it according to the schedule.
