FAN+Life (formerly T Fan Site) is the official e-commerce site operated by the Culture Entertainment Group, featuring T-cards (with character designs) in collaboration with anime, characters, and artists.

The T-cards you use daily now come in designs featuring your favorite characters and artists.

A variety of exciting T-card designs continue to be released, sparking the excitement of fans. In addition to the T-cards, there is also a wide range of original collaboration items available.

PROJECT OVERVIEW

This project involved migrating from EC-CUBE to Shopify. The main challenges were instability caused by high traffic and the operational load required to set up access restrictions to prevent server downtime. To build a stable e-commerce site, we conducted a thorough assessment of the existing site’s features, including the feasibility of transferring them to Shopify and exploring alternative solutions. Focusing on mobile-first design, we emphasized a simple layout that enhances product appeal and increases proposal effectiveness within the product pages. Each page was customized in a way that allows for as much no-code customization as possible using Shopify. We implemented cross-page designs and automated display of related pages, improving the site's navigability and user experience. Additionally, we supported the integration with the warehouse system and implemented payment functions such as PayPay and convenience store payments, making it easier for a broader range of users to make purchases.

RESULT

In addition to the existing features, we implemented customer information editing, pre-order sales, and sales period settings. We also set up a flow for updating order statuses based on specific conditions using Shopify Flow. By introducing a filter for product listings, we made it easier for customers to search and navigate, improving the experience of finding desired items among a large selection of products and intellectual properties (IPs) such as characters. We also eliminated the need for duplicating pages, which was a requirement in EC-CUBE, and automated the restocking process for orders past their payment due date, simplifying administrative tasks.
