Introducing the recommended functions of the theme!
Have you ever chosen a theme and started building your site, only to find that it didn’t have the features you wanted, or that features you assumed would be there by default weren’t available?
With Shopify, it’s important to choose a theme while also considering its features.
This time, I'd like to introduce the features that can be displayed depending on the theme!
First, Shopify themes come in both free and paid versions, and the flexibility of their design and available features varies.
Free themes often offer simple designs with only the most basic features.
If you want to build a more robust site, we recommend choosing a paid theme.
Recommended key features
① Breadcrumb list

A breadcrumb list is a navigation tool that shows the page hierarchy of your site, and it's often placed at the top of the content.
This feature allows users to easily see which level they're viewing, making your site easier to use and navigate.

② Pop-up
You can display promotional pop-ups when the site is shown.
By displaying pop-ups, you can expect various benefits such as increased CVR and preventing users from leaving the site.
Themes with pop-up features are available here.
③ Infinite Scroll
This feature allows new content to keep appearing as you scroll down, even if there is a large amount of content, without having to load new pages.
While excessive scrolling isn't always ideal, it's easier to use than having to click and navigate through many pages, and it helps increase the time users spend on your site.
Themes with infinite scroll features are available here.
④ “Back to Top” button

You can place a fixed button at the bottom right of the page that allows users to quickly return to the page top. By placing this button, users can easily find the page they want to view, making the site more user-friendly and reducing the bounce rate.
Themes with a "Back to Top" button feature can be found here.
⑤ Color swatch
This feature allows users to visually confirm product color variations, making it especially recommended for stores that sell a wide variety of products.
Displaying color options can help users make purchasing decisions, enabling you to create a more user-friendly site.
Themes with a color swatch feature can be found here.

① Display of ingredients or nutrition facts

With this section, you can freely change the content, making it possible to display product details, size information, shipping notes, and other important information.
In addition, since you can place the product purchase button right nearby, it allows you to optimally convey product information.

② Age Verification
The required features here are limited, but there is a function that allows you to display an age verification pop-up.
There are themes that allow you to use this by default without installing an app, making setup easy. If needed, we recommend configuring it in the default settings.
If you need an age verification feature, click here
③ Inventory Counter
By using this feature, you can check the remaining stock on the product page. Displaying inventory can encourage purchases when stock is low, and can also help increase purchase rates.

This time, we introduced recommended features that come with the theme!
Some features may seem to be included by default, but we recommend confirming the functionality carefully before selecting a theme.
At our company, when proposing designs, we also explain the reasons for our theme selections.
