What is Shop Pay?
Shop Pay, introduced by Shopify in 2017, is the world's largest e-commerce platform and a high-speed checkout service that functions as a digital wallet. By using this payment tool, customers can save their payment details for faster checkout across all compatible platforms during future purchases.
This allows the Shop Pay cart software to automatically fill in saved information, enabling faster purchases on return visits. Shop Pay reduces repetitive tasks often associated with online shopping and allows for installment payments. As a result, the process becomes more seamless for customers, naturally encouraging conversions and boosting sales.
How to start integrating with Shop Pay in three easy steps
1. Enable Shop Pay
To enable Shop Pay, you need to activate it in the Shopify dashboard.

2. Payments
On the next page, click "Payments." Then, within the "Shopify Payments" section, click the "Manage" button.

3. Enable Shop Pay
In the “Manage” section, scroll to the “Shop Pay” section and check the box for “Shop Pay.” Then, click [Save] to complete the process.

How to enable Shop Pay on the payment gateway page for third-party providers
By allowing Shop Pay to be used alongside other payment methods and third-party payment services, you can offer fast checkout functionality across your entire online store.
Go to the official Shopify website, click “Log in” at the top right, and enter your account information. After logging in, you’ll be returned to the Shopify dashboard. Then, click “Settings” at the top left.

Next, please click on "Payment."

Find and click the "Manage" option within the section specified for card payment providers. When you select the "Manage" option, the Shopify payment page will be displayed. Scroll all the way to the bottom of the page and look for the option to "Switch to card payment provider."
Next, after selecting the payment gateway, a list of payment methods will appear. Choose your preferred payment method and enter the required information.
Once you've finished entering your information, check "Enable Shop Pay," select the "Activate" button, and confirm your Shop Pay settings.
Once you enable Shop Pay, customize your options so customers can pay using Shop Pay’s installment payments. Integrating Shop Pay isn’t the only way to improve your checkout page. Generally, the best practice is to make it as easy as possible for customers to purchase products, from adding items to the cart all the way through checkout.
