Shopifyアプリ「Judge.me」初期設定:意図しないメール送信を防ぐチェックリスト

May 1, 2026

Judge.me is a popular review app because it's free to use.
This app has notifications that are automatically enabled by default.

This setting will run in the backend even if it's not enabled on the storefront, so it's something to be careful about during implementation.
This article explains the initial notification settings you should check when implementing the system.

Regarding notification settings for review requests

JudgeMe allows you to configure basic settings for sending review requests to customers.
In the app management screen, clicking "Settings" > "Request scheduling" allows you to configure whether or not to send review requests.

Enable notifications

  • Select Order TypeChecking each item (domestic order, international order, POS order, etc.) will enable notifications for that order.

  • Delivery-based requestsYou can also set up "Delivery-based requests" in the Shopify order management screen, which allows you to send requests after an order has been marked as "shipped."
However, this feature requires an Awesome plan or higher subscription.

Marketing consent confirmation (important)

You should also pay attention to the checkbox status of "Send review requests to customers who have opted out of Shopify marketing emails" in the "Advanced" settings.

  • If you do not check the boxReview requests are only sent to customers who have agreed to receive marketing from Shopify; customers who have not agreed (opted out) will be skipped.

Notifications after submitting a review

Follow-up settings after a review is submitted are also enabled by default.

Review confirmation email

This is a notification to confirm whether the review was actually submitted by the person who posted it.

  • Review confirmation: By the customer confirming this,Verified ReviewsSince it will be registered as "[ ]", we recommend enabling it.

  • Points to noteThe sender address of this notification is support@judge.me It is fixed and cannot be changed to an arbitrary address.

Reply email to review

  • Reply notificationWhen we reply to a review, we will notify the reviewer by email.
    This feature can be disabled.
Please select "Disabled" from the template editing screen.

Q&A Notice

  • Q&A NotificationThis is a notification sent when the store has answered a customer's question.

  • Points to note: This feature cannot be disabled.
However, it will not be used unless you have placed a question button in the review widget (available with the Awesome plan or higher).

These are all the notification settings you need to check beforehand.
There are several other notification settings, so I will also describe those.

Template editing and plan restrictions

The template's content can be edited.
Clicking "Settings" > "Email templates" will take you to the editing screen.

Example: Main template

  • Smart Email TemplateThis is the main notification for the review request.
    Click "Edit" to edit.

  • Editing range limitationsThe content you can edit with the free plan is:Text onlyThis is how it works. If you want to edit other parts such as the subject or title, you will need the paid "Awesome plan".

Change sender email address

By changing the default setting to an email address using your company's domain, you can increase its credibility.
You can configure this setting using the "Edit sender settings" button.

Setup takes 3 steps

  1. Enter your email address and verify it.
  2. Registering DNS records
  3. DMARC record registration (optional)

summary

Judge.me is relatively easy to implement and convenient, but it requires checking the initial setup and optimizing notifications.
When you actually install the app, please keep the points we've discussed in mind as you proceed with the setup!
