Introducing ways to utilize Figma Slides!

What tools do you use when creating proposals and submission materials?

In our company, we have been using Google Slides and Illustrator to create slide designs.

However, recently we had the opportunity to use Figma Slides internally, and I found it convenient, so I would like to introduce it!

Figma Slides is a method of using Figma, a design tool, like a typical presentation tool (such as PowerPoint or Google Slides) to create and present slide-based materials.
With Figma's design capabilities and a wealth of design templates, you can easily create attractive slides.

Figma Slides is created by combining the following features of Figma.

1. Design Features: Each slide is created as a 'frame' in Figma.
   Utilizing Figma's rich design tools, component features, and shared libraries, you can efficiently design slides that are cohesive and visually refined.
   
   

2. Prototype Mode: By setting transitions between frames, you can recreate the 'turning' of slides and interactions upon clicking (e.g., displaying detailed information in a popup, animating elements).
   
   

3. Presentation Mode: Completed slides (frames) can be displayed in full screen using Figma's presentation mode (play button) and utilized as an actual presentation. The presenter can navigate the slides using arrow keys or clicks.

• Seamless integration of design and presentation: Since design work and presentation material creation can be completed within the same tool, it enhances work efficiency for designers.
  
  

• High design flexibility and quality: With Figma's design features, you can freely create materials that are flexible and aligned with your brand image, which is difficult with traditional presentation tools.
  
  

• Interactive expression: By utilizing the prototype feature, you can create memorable presentations with demos that change according to user interactions and add animations to elements, rather than just static image slides.
  
  

• Ease of sharing and collaborative editing: Figma's real-time collaborative editing feature is powerful in material creation as well. Multiple people can work simultaneously, and feedback can be reflected instantly.
  
  

• Proposal documents/planning documents: Proposal documents submitted internally or externally, such as proposals for site design.
  
  

• Design Review: Proposals for UI/UX design and explanations of user flows.
  
  

• Project Progress Report: Explanation of the project's status using many visual elements.
  
  

It can be effectively utilized in scenes where visual communication is necessary!

The basic steps to add a slide are as follows.

Click the 'Slides' button in the upper right corner of the Figma home screen.

A popup will appear, allowing you to select a blank slide or a template.

After the cover page, you can add templates from the left 'New Slider' or add a blank page using the '+' button.

You can freely create added slides by adding text and shapes, just like creating designs in Figma.

Creating and using Figma Slides is possible starting from the free Starter plan. If you want to create more files, use advanced design and prototyping features, or collaborate with a large team, you will need a paid plan of Professional or higher.
