In this episode, Kai from GO RIDE and representative Toyo shared their surf trip experiences.
Through these travel stories, you might get a glimpse into the "work style" and "culture" of the GO RIDE team.

I traveled the world and started my work. (Toyo's case)
"I had already decided to start my own business. But I thought that if I missed this opportunity, I wouldn't be able to go again, so I decided to go so I wouldn't regret it later (laughs)."
Toyo, the representative of GO RIDE, spent about a year traveling the world surfing just before starting the company.
My experiences traveling alone in search of waves in various places—Mexico, El Salvador in Central America, Bali—have become the foundation of my current approach to work.
"The beach breaks in Mexico are pretty heavy, and I often felt discouraged."
But the moment I was able to ride a wave on a deserted beach was truly special. I'll never forget that view."
Do what you want to do now—that mindset is directly reflected in GO RIDE's business.

Kai became completely hooked on surfing and went to Australia.

Meanwhile, Kai's reason for going to Australia was to study the language. He stayed in Victoria for a year and visited the world-famous surf spot "Bells BeachLiving near [location name], I gradually realized that my days revolved around surfing.
"At first, I was scared of those waves. They were bigger than anything I'd ever seen in Japan. But as I got used to them, I started to really enjoy them (laughs). I was in the water almost every day."
He says that his surfing skills improved before his English skills, thanks to the small talk he had with the people he met at the beach every day.
Having no resistance to going abroad and naturally blending into a global environment—this attitude embodies the current team culture of GO RIDE.
The two of them talk about their "recommended surf trip destinations"
Kai: Bali (Indonesia)

"Overall, the best option is Bali."
The quality of the waves, the local atmosphere, the warmth, and the low cost of living. Local food like nasi goreng is also cheap and delicious, and if you can get through the traffic, I think it's the best place."
Toyo: Hidden Gems in Mexico and Central America
"I love Bali too, but the places where there's nobody around are the ones that stick in my memory the most."
Beaches in Mexico and El Salvador where only locals are present.
That stillness and the power of the waves were something I couldn't experience anywhere else."
"Choosing the right board for the waves is important"—a lesson that applies to work as well.
A comment Toyo made casually during the conversation left a strong impression on me.
"I really think there's a right way to choose a board to suit the waves."
Instead of sticking to the same approach in every environment, be flexible and change your approach according to the situation.
This aligns with what GO RIDE values most in supporting its clients' e-commerce operations.
Shopify development, digital marketing, app development—our style is to combine the most suitable methods according to the client's phase and challenges.
