May 2024 Update Information

Thank you for always using Go Sub.

With the update on May 27, 2024, a bulk payment feature has been added and implemented in Go Sub.

This feature is designed to accommodate a wider variety of sales formats, so we encourage you to take this opportunity to try selling with the new bulk payment feature.

In addition to bulk payment, several other features have also been updated, and we will introduce those as well.

What is bulk payment?

Let us introduce the new bulk payment feature added in this update.

In a typical subscription sale,

For example, if a customer subscribes to a product costing 3,000 yen once a month, an order for 3,000 yen will be created every month.

When you use the bulk payment feature,

Pay 9,000 yen once every three months. The product itself is the same as a regular subscription and will be delivered monthly as usual.

Depending on the product, you can set up the payment to be confirmed for several months in advance, or accommodate requests such as customers wanting to complete all payments within the current month.

How to set up lump-sum payments

The information required to set up lump-sum payments is:

Billing cycle.

The number of times you want to bill for each order cycle will be the number entered in the billing cycle field.

For example, if you want to pay for a monthly subscription in a single lump sum for a whole year, the billing cycle would be 12 (paying for 12 months at once).

When creating a group,

If you check "Set a billing cycle different from the order cycle," an input field for the billing cycle will appear.

Just by entering this, your settings will be complete.

Points to note

For groups that have set up lump-sum payments, please only add products specifically for lump-sum payment.

Example:

If you add a product for 3-month lump-sum payment, priced at 3,000 yen, and set it up, you will be billed 3,000 yen once every 3 months.

Please note that you will NOT be billed 3,000 × 3 = 9,000 yen every 3 months!

Fixed Price Setting for Subscription Plans

You can now set a fixed price for subscription plans.

You can set a discount rate, discounted price, or fixed price for each plan. With the fixed price feature, when a customer purchases a product through a subscription plan, the product price will be set to the fixed price specified in the plan.
