Amazon FBA (Fulfillment By Amazon) is a logistics and delivery agency service directly operated by Amazon.

Amazon's warehouse staff provides a service that handles everything from packaging to shipping, allowing you to store a large inventory in Amazon's warehouse. Just send your products to Amazon's warehouse, and Amazon will handle the rest!

With Amazon FBA, you can do the following: order processing (Amazon Seller Central), product storage, receiving operations, packaging, etc. 

However, what concerns me is the handling fee!

First, with Amazon FBA, you will need to pay four main fees (other fees may apply depending on the situation → e.g., return handling fees).

• Amazon monthly account fee
• Referral fee
• Fulfillment Handling Fee
• FBA Inventory Storage Fee

There are two types of selling methods:

1. Professional Selling Plan
2. Individual Selling Plan

Each selling method has its own merits and demerits, so be sure to check them thoroughly before starting.

⭐️ Recommendation: We recommend the Professional Account (Professional Selling) which allows you to list using CSV files and utilize advertising features.

The referral fee is the fee for "selling on Amazon." 15% of the order amount will be an Amazon fee.

The Fulfillment Handling Fee is the fee for shipping performed by Amazon's warehouse staff.

The cost is determined by the order package size and weight. There are two types of package sizes: Standard Size and Oversize.

There are rules for Standard Size and Oversize, so please check below↓
 

[For Standard Size]

• Weight: < 1 pound
• Size: Must be within 15 inch x 12 inch x 0.75 inch

It must meet these criteria.

[For Oversize]

• Weight: < 20 pounds
• Size: Must be within 18 inch x 14 inch x 8 inch

It must meet these criteria.

The storage fee amount varies depending on the package size and time period.

Regarding the timing, from fall to winter, there are many merchants sending a lot of goods to the warehouse due to Black Friday and the holiday season. Since warehouse space is limited, Amazon distinguishes between Off-Peak and Peak seasons, and increases storage fees during the Peak season.

There is one more thing to note.

That's the Long Term storage fee.

The Long Term storage fee is an additional charge that may apply if items are stored for a long time.

For example, sending 100 products to an Amazon warehouse:

• If 100 items are sold within 360 days, no Long Term storage fee will be incurred.
• For example, if 50 out of 100 items are sold within 360 days, you'll need to pay the Long Term storage fee for the remaining 50 items (until all 50 are sold).

⭐️ Advice:If there are items that are not selling well, have Amazon return the remaining stock to you. Although there is a cost (Removal Fee) for returning items, according to information from various merchants, returning the stock to Amazon and then immediately sending it back is more cost-effective than paying the Long Term storage fee.

For Amazon FBA, you need to first register an Amazon Seller account. This will be the account you use on Amazon Seller Central (for order management, Amazon store page management, etc.).
