Rip Curl is widely loved by surfers in Japan, and sponsors many professional surfers.

Project Overview

Migration from Futureshop to Shopify. The goal was to make it easy to update with no code and to increase sales through thorough branding and e-commerce.Under the supervision of the head office in Australia, we communicated in both English and Japanese to improve the UI/UX, customize the theme, optimize the SEO, implement necessary apps, and provide overall consulting. Due to our founder being a passionate surfer, this project was of particular interest.

Mobile focused site due to the large audience in Japan. While inheriting the UI and colors of the Australian EC, we customized many parts for Japan specifically. We designed the site to make it easy for customers to compare products and to complete the purchase process smoothly, The number of colors on the site is limited and style kept minimal to emphasise the colorful products.

We also introduced an editor application to make it easier for user wishlists and merchants to add content. We will also provided advice on applications that can be used by the merchant, such as the delivery date and time (linked to Next Engine).
